Caroline Spelman reappointed Second Church Estates Commissioner

The Church of England has announced that  the Rt Hon Dame Caroline Spelman MP has been reappointed by the Crown to serve as the Second Church Estates Commissioner for the next Parliament.

The Church Commissioners are delighted to announce that Rt Hon Dame Caroline Spelman MP has been reappointed by the Crown to serve as the Second Church Estates Commissioner for the next Parliament.

Upon receiving the news Dame Caroline said “I am delighted to be reappointed to the post of Second Church Estates Commissioner and look forward to continuing to be a voice for the work of the Church Commissioners and Church of England in Parliament. Improving the understanding in Parliament and Whitehall of faith and religious communities has never been more important.”

Andrew Brown, Secretary to the Church Commissioners, said “I am thrilled that Dame Caroline has been reappointed to her role. Over the past two years she has been a valued and effective advocate for the Church Commissioners and the Church of England more widely. All of us look forward to continuing to work with her over the next Parliament.”
